Intro to Tec(TDI)

Our Intro to Tech (Introduction to Technical Diving) Course introduces the diver to the equipment, skills and expertise required to transition into technical diving. This course is required as a preparatory course for our Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures courses.

The objective of this course is to familiarize students with technical gear configurations, enhance open water diving skills and introduce students to advanced gas planning techniques within a no-decompression context. Some of the skills covered in this program include: technical diving equipment, equipment streamlining and configuration, line reel techniques, lift bag deployment as a contingency up-line, anti-silting finning techniques, advanced propulsion techniques, buddy assistance scenarios, buoyancy and trim exercises, situational awareness, gas depletion drills, and more!

The skills you will learn during this course are guaranteed to challenge you, make you a more comfortable and competent diver and a more dependable buddy as you plan for deeper and more complicated dives.

 Deco Procedures(TDI)

Our Decompression Procedures course is designed for the diver who wishes to learn how to properly plan and execute dives exceeding recreational dive time limits.

This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive while not exceeding a maximum depth of 150 feet.

The most common equipment requirements, gear set-ups, decompression techniques and decompression mixtures (including Oxygen and Nitrox) are presented.

 Advanced Nitrox(TDI)

Our Advanced Nitrox course is designed for the diver who wishes to use gas mixes containing elevated percentages of Oxygen as either their primary diving gas or as a decompression gas.

This course builds upon the Enriched Air Nitrox course and examines the use of EAN 21 through 100% Oxygen for optimal mixes to a maximum depth of 130 feet. The object of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing these mixes for dives not requiring staged decompression.

Why would you want to use mixes with higher percentages of Oxygen? As a primary gas used in shallow depths, Nitrox mixes greater than 40% allow substantially longer bottom times while greatly reducing your Nitrogen loading, thus reducing your DCS susceptibility. As a decompression gas, mixes up to 100% Oxygen can be used to shorten your decompression obligation, or during recreational diving profiles, to give you the added safety margin of increased Nitrogen out-gassing during your safety stops. Best of all, our course can be completed using single or double tank configurations.
